About the Artist
My name is Madisyn Marshall and I am a contemporary artist who’s essence of work is about finding your inner truth. My mixed-media oil paintings are a reflection of my spiritual journey and my exploration of the duality between reality and our higher selves. My artwork transcends boundaries and I work hard to merge dream worlds with the physical world. I want the work I create to remind everyone who sees it of the magical side of life we tend to forget it within us. ❤

More about Madisyn
Madisyn is a visionary artist that is originally from Texas now residing in Atlanta. While growing up she overcame the challenges she faced related to finding her place in this world. She had a natural inclination towards drawing and was often asked, “did you free hand this,” by those close to her and strangers alike. This type of encouragement from others helped her take expressing creativity seriously. She took several drawing classes in college and after graduating with her Bachelor’s in Psychology, she attended the Milan Art Institute. It was here that she fell in love with painting and fine-tuned a unique style, explored her roots, and found her artistic voice.
Inspired by Pablo Picasso’s quote, “everything you can imagine is real,” Madisyn’s work merges realistic and abstract elements together with a heavy dose of psychedelic themes and ethereal atmospheres. The essence of her pieces are often about connecting with the infinite facets of consciousness.
She uses a mixed-media approach in her work — beginning with acrylic ink and various mark-making materials, adding collage elements or acrylic paint next — always finishing with a few delicious layers of oil paint, her favorite medium. While painting her unique portraits she uses vibrant colors and textures, including some bold brush strokes to capture the wonderment in life and convey a quest for enlightenment.
She currently works out of her home studio and is an art teacher for children. Mentoring children as they explore the unlimited amount of ways they can express themselves creatively is a passion of hers that she takes extreme pride in. Right now she is finishing up her final pieces in her “Double Vision” painting series and enjoying every minute of being a professional artist.
